Touring Reality
Online Touring Exhibitions

COVID-19 has accelerated and extended the move of artist’s works to online platforms (temporarily) over and above ‘real’ venues. Changes in how we approach climate change and ecological art programmes will continue to shape the presentation of arts events. This page is dedicated to touring these online exhibits. Its aim is to generate new thinking and writing about the exhibitions, the catalogue and critical texts will change with each new (online) venue, with links to previous virtual shows included. Our gallery currently remains closed to the public, physically due to the virus but we are continuing to develop our own programme and exhibition on site. The next works will be the ‘Wormhole Contracts’ a collaboration with Rob La Frenais and Anne Bean.

‘Touring Reality’ replicates the way a real world touring show operates very simply, by creating a gallery on line to be viewed and shared.

Aims:
To create international, virtual, touring exhibitions platforms.

To increase the audience reach; this format allows visitors, artists, collectors and critics (globally) who might not be able to physically visit the host venue, to see the complete exhibitions, in detail, which most reviews and catalogue do not do.

To generate bodies of critical text for those artists whose work is toured, by writers, collectors, gallerists, academics and artists.

To improve networking, communicationgy, technology, collaboration and exchange of ideas.

To engage writers of critical texts in increasingly more languages.

Our first collaboration is with Alpeh Contemporary. London and is Gordon Dalton’s ‘Birdcage Blues’
